A Job Order Contract is an indefinite quantity contract pursuant to which the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission may accomplish a series of projects with a single, competitively bid contract awarded before the projects are identified. Contractors bid an adjustment factor to pre-set unit prices. The work under these two JOCs may be performed in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Alameda Counties.

In order to bid on these JOCs, contractors must have an active and current "B" California Contractors License and must have successfully completed 5 public works projects valued at $1,000,000 or greater within the past 5 years.

As per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B, bid discounts may be applied. The LBE subcontracting goal has been set at 20% for Small and Micro-LBE participation. Only Contract Monitoring Division certified San Francisco Small and Micro-LBEs can be utilized to meet this requirement. The subcontractors designated as LBEs must be certified for the listed trade in order to count towards the goal.
