| Description | The Work consists, in general, of renovating Fire Stations 1 - 5 which includes hazardous material abatement (Fire Stations 2-5), foundation modification, structural upgrades, apparatus bay door replacement, kitchen and restroom improvements, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing improvements, new roof-mounted photovoltaic panel installation (Fire Stations 2-5) and site improvements related to utility upgrades and concrete sidewalk and asphalt pavement and other work required by the Drawings and Specifications. The Project includes phasing of work as Fire Station 1 will be occupied by station personnel during construction; Fire Stations 2-5 personnel will be relocated to other fire stations. BIDS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 7, 2017, at 2 PM. C. Overaa & Co encourages bids from all Subcontractors/Suppliers including MBE/WBE/DBE/SBE bidders. They are an equal opportunity employer. They encourage contracting with a group of DBEs when a contract is too large for one firm to handle individually. They offer to assist you with bonding, credit, and insurance. C. Overaa & Co. are signatory to both Carpenters and Laborers. Subcontractors will be required to sign the Overaa Standard Subcontract Agreement, which includes the right for Overaa to require subcontractors to furnish a faithful performance and labor bond, in a form and from a surety acceptable to Overaa, in the amount of 100% of the Subcontract price. Subcontractors will be required to comply with all subcontract insurance requirements, which includes providing a waiver of subrogation endorsement to their worker compensation insurance.
