The Project is generally described as:
a. Demolition and removal of the existing 8 relocatable classroom buildings and construction of a new 22,000 sq. ft. permanent 2-story classroom and gymnasium building. The project includes, but not necessarily limited to, site demolition with some hazardous materials abatement, new underground utilities and electrical service, fire alarm and fire protection systems, security systems, accessible toilets, elevator, ADA upgrades including accessible parking stalls and gates, and site improvements such as concrete stepped walls, seats, stairs, and accessible ramps and landscape features such as bio-retention areas, planters, and fencing.

b. Installation of 5 relocatable classroom buildings as interim housing which includes accessible metal ramps and transition landings, electrical services, fire alarm and data systems, security systems, improvements to ADA path of travel, fencing, accessible gates. (Procurement of relocatable classroom buildings under separate contract.)

Thompson Builders Corporation is signatory to both the Carpenters Collective Bargaining Agreement and the Laborers Collective Bargaining Agreement. Certification of insurance for General Liability and Workers’ Compensation are required. A Waiver of Subrogation will also be required with all Subcontract Agreements. Subcontractors’ faithful performance and payment bonds in the amount of the subcontract price may be required. Reasonable market rate bond premium will be reimbursed by Thompson Builders Corporation.
