The Work to be done under this Contract consists of a complete park renovation within Margaret S. Hayward Playground and James P. Lang Athletic Fields as shown on the Drawings and as specified in these Specifications. The San Francisco Recreation and Park property address is 950 Golden Gate Avenue in San Francisco, California; located between Laguna and Gough Streets and between Turk Street and Golden Gate Avenue.

The scope of work consists of, but is not limited to:
1. Demolition, including site clearing, tree and stump removal, removal of fencing, light poles, existing site furnishings and playground equipment, and removal of existing site structures and buildings (including hazardous material abatement).

2. Construction of new site improvements including athletic fields with new irrigation/drainage, artificial turf, fencing and lighting, new athletic courts with new paving, striping, court amenities and fencing, new children’s playground with new equipment, safety surfacing, artificial turf and planting related site amenities such as, but not limited to, site irrigation, sewer, lighting and electrical distribution, fencing, planting, signage, and long term plant establishment.

3. Construction of a new two story building consisting of a basement level operations and storage level and a plaza level community room and restroom building. Includes excavation and associated sitework, new utilities (gas, water, sewer, and electrical), structural steel and cast-in place concrete, carpentry, glazing, roofing, interior and exterior architectural finishes, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical work including photovoltaic roof panels, and low voltage security and telecommunications work.

4. Paving work at Laguna Street, including traffic controls and coordination with adjacent projects.

5. Installation of electrical infrastructure for PUC / PGE, including trenching, conduits and vaults along Golden Gate Avenue.

Thompson Builders Corporation is signatory to both the Carpenters Collective Bargaining Agreement and the Laborers Collective Bargaining Agreement. Certification of insurance for General Liability and Workers’ Compensation are required. A Waiver of Subrogation will also be required with all Subcontract Agreements. Subcontractors’ faithful performance and payment bonds in the amount of the subcontract price may be required. Reasonable market rate bond premium will be reimbursed by Thompson Builders Corporation.
