Description | The Work of this Contract expands the vertical circulation elements of the East side of Union City Station, specifically the addition of the two new escalators and one new stair as well as retrofit of one existing stairs. The Work includes selective demolition of existing structure and facilities and construction of new structural element and facilities to support the new escalators and new stairs. The platform level work includes the construction of extended canopies over the expanded platform areas and all associated components including signage, lighting, and CCTV and communications systems. BIDS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN AUGUST 28, 2018, AT 2PM. PLEASE NOTE: THOMPSON BUILDERS IS REQUESTING BIDS BY NOON ON DAY OF BID (AUG 28TH). Thompson Builders Corporation is signatory to both the Carpenters Collective Bargaining Agreement and the Laborers Collective Bargaining Agreement. Certification of insurance for General Liability and Workers’ Compensation are required. A Waiver of Subrogation will also be required with all Subcontract Agreements. Subcontractors’ faithful performance and payment bonds in the amount of the subcontract price may be required. Reasonable market rate bond premium will be reimbursed by Thompson Builders Corporation. TBC is willing to discuss breaking down bid items into economically feasible units for minority participation.
