Description

The Work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary to demolish, replace and construct specific items and assemblies at the 19th/Oakland Station. The Base Bid, in general, includes the following principal items: demolition, fare barriers, fare gates, station agent booth, elevator, guardrails, staff restroom, public restrooms, terrazzo floor, painting, ventilation exhaust, glazed brick tiling, bicycle channels, bicycle racks, concrete benches, lighting, light box, art display cases and signage. All as specified in the Contract Specifications and Contract Drawings.

Optional work to paint a mural on track walls, may be included, at the discretion of the District, subject to available funding. The Contractor shall complete all Work indicated, specified and directed to be performed under this Contract within nine hundred (900) Days after the effective date of the Notice to Proceed.

THOMPSON BUILDERS CORPORATION, an Equal Opportunity Employer, as a "General Contractor" is requesting bids from SBE Subcontractors, Suppliers and Truckers for the project known as: 19TH ST/OAKLAND STATION MODERNIZATION PROJECT, BART #07EA-120 located in Oakland, CA. BIDS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN FEBRUARY 26, 2019, at 2 PM.

PLEASE NOTE: THOMPSON BUILDERS IS REQUESTING BIDS BY NOON ON DAY OF BID (FEBRUARY 26, 2019).

Thompson Builders Corporation is signatory to both the Carpenters Collective Bargaining Agreement and the Laborers Collective Bargaining Agreement. Certification of insurance for General Liability and Workers’ Compensation are required. A Waiver of Subrogation will also be required with all Subcontract Agreements. Subcontractors’ faithful performance and payment bonds in the amount of the subcontract price may be required. Reasonable market rate bond premium will be reimbursed by Thompson Builders Corporation.

TBC is willing to discuss breaking down bid items into economically feasible units for minority participation. Their estimating department is available for assistance with bonding, lines of credit, insurance, equipment, supplies and/or materials.
