Project generally described as: Bessie Carmichael Elementary School - A.D.A. Site Improvements of Play Yard, SFUSD Project No. 12142 (Bid Package A) Green Schoolyard Project, SFUSD Project No. 11928 (Bid Package B).

This Project has two bid packages combined as one whole undertaking to be implemented simultaneously.
FOR BID PACKAGE A (Estimated Construction Value: $200,000.00):
The project involves, but not limited to:
a. Removal of existing play structure & rubber safety tile surfacing.
b. Provision of new play structure & rubber safety surfacing to comply with A.D.A.
c. Prepare and install new game lines on existing play yard.
d. Asphalt repaving and sealing including pavement stripes and markings.
e. Miscellaneous site work: Removal of existing concrete sandbox and adjacent site furnishings; removal, relocation and re-installation of existing steel site fencing, restripe existing van accessible parking stall.
f. Removal and replacement of existing damaged toilet accessories at an existing accessible toilet stall.

FOR BID PACKAGE B (Estimated construction value: $160,000.00):
The Project involves, but is not limited to:
a. Demolition of asphalt and concrete paving.
b. Asphalt repaving and pavement colored coatings.
c. Concrete work.
d. Miscellaneous metal fabrication.
e. Exterior carpentry.
f. Construction of tree wells and raised planter boxes.
g. Site furnishings.
h. Tree planting and soil importation for new planting areas.
i. Irrigation (hose bib) work.
