The Project consists of:
Note: scope of work is shown on both roof plans and photo references. Contractor is responsible for all scope as described on full set. Some repetitive circumstances are not noted at every location. Contractor to verify in field and include in scope of work, typ.

Remove existing roof systems, (built-up, or shingle, as indicated on demo plans) metal flashings and all other associated components within scope region down to plywood or 1 x 6 diagonal sheeting structural substrate as shown in demo plan.

Existing rooftop conduits and piping to remain, u.o.n.

Inspect and remove abandoned work back to source. Cap or seal off as required. Clean, paint as specified. Coordinate locations of abandoned work with owner. Contractor to organize a site walk with owners to identify all abandoned work to be removed. Invite all required personnel from district.

Existing conduits and pipes to remain must be temporarily shored in order to perform re-roofing work beneath. Contractor is responsible to replace the conduit and pipe runs in straight, parallel conditions, and repair any damages that occur during construction.

All existing pipe and conduit supports to be removed and replaced with new, as indicated in the specifications and details. 07 70 00.

Remove rooftop flashings, jacks, sleepers, curbs and other features as shown in demo plan, salvage and reinstall as directed, or dispose.

Cut back wall flashings and cement plaster as shown in demo plan. Prepare surfaces for new flashing and patching as shown in the plans and details.

Replace any damaged sheathing, related fascias, wood bearing elements, structural members (rotted joists, etc), as discovered beneath roof system. Replace full sheets, where sheathing damage is discovered.

Install new built-up roofing systems, or refurbishment coatings, curbs flashings, MEP equipment supports, related conduit/piping supports, and cement plaster as shown in roof plan, photo reference plan and on scope schedules.

Install walk pads as shown on drawings, where occur.

Repair damaged existing work as discovered or detailed.

Install new gutters and downspouts as indicated on the plans.

Repair and refurbish (e) downspouts as indicated on the plans.

Repair, detail, and seal vertical and horizontal conduit and piping penetrations.

Provide required housings at multiple piping penetration points.

ANDY'S ROOFING COMPANY, INC. is requesting bids from all qualified Subcontractors and Material Suppliers, including certified DVBE Subcontractors and Material Suppliers for the project known as: LORENZO MANOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ROOFING AND GUTTERS REPLACEMENT (Project #20-08) located at 18250 Bengal Ave, Hayward, CA 94541. BIDS ARE DUE ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8, 2020, AT 10 AM.

This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. All contractors must be registered with the DIR pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. 100% payment and performance bonds may be requested for this Project. This is a Prevailing Wage project. Certified payroll will be required.
