The scope of the 16th Street Improvement Project includes upgrading and installation of the overhead contact system (OCS) and traction power infrastructure. In addition, transit bulbs and transit boarding islands will be constructed to enable more efficient passenger boarding and alighting. Pedestrian bulbs, raised crosswalks, and curb ramps will be constructed to enhance pedestrian safety. Traffic signals and traffic signal communication infrastructure will also be added or upgraded. Other project scope includes streetscape, streetlight, landscape, and roadway rehabilitation improvements. Some relocation of Water utilities will also be included in this project to accommodate construction of pedestrian and transit bulbs.

Engineer's Estimate: $29,000,000

Bids are due no later than October 29, 2020, at 3 PM.
