The objective of the Project is to minimize flooding and manage stormwater at the Wawona St. neighborhood close to 15th Ave., by installing a wet weather/auxiliary sewer from on Vicente St., from the intersection of Vicente Street and Wawona Street to 34th Avenue. In addition, the construction project installs a new water transmission main and replaces aging water distribution mains on Vicente Ave. The work also includes various street base restoration and paving. The Work is to be performed in San Francisco, California.

Mitchell Engineering encourages bids from Bidders that optimize the use of S.F. Small and Micro-LBE certified subcontracting firms. Mitchell Engineering and SFPUC also seeks to further optimize the use of contractor teams that reflect the diversity of the City & County of San Francisco. As such, the City recommends that Bidders consider the composition of their teams in terms of gender, age, ethnicity, and race, and to utilize teams that include a diverse mix of staff at all organizational levels. This Project also requests LBE & DBE Truckers and Material/Equipment Suppliers are requested to forward bids for the following project. Mitchell Engineering encourages subcontractors quotes to utilize other LBE and DBE firms through second tier subcontracting, owner-operated equipment, or purchase of materials. This also includes requests for Non-LBE sub/material quotes from qualified subcontractors, trucking firms and material suppliers. This Project is covered by the WSIP PLA and Extension Agreement (collectively referred to as "PLA").

Mitchell Engineering will be bidding as a Prime and requests Subcontractors/Vendors and Trucking proposals in the format of the Bid Form for the following trades: Traffic Control; Rebar; Grading & Paving; Trucking; Cast Iron Water Trap Material; Television Inspections; Ductile Iron Tyton Joint Fittings; Site Concrete Work Ramps/Base/Flatwork; Structural Concrete - Junction Structures; Electrical; HMA Speed Hump; VCP & RCP Piping Water Pipeline Materials; Micro Tunnel & Pipe Jacking; and Survey for the following Project: WAWONA AREA STORMWATER IMPROVEMENT AND VICENTE STREET WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT (Contract #WW-711) located in San Francisco, CA. Bids are due no later than January 28, 2021, at 2 PM.
