This Project is to upgrade the traction power system to support trolley coach service for the new Transbay Transit Center Bus Plaza. The work will consist of the following:
A. Trench about 2750 linear feet (4 wide by 6’ deep), core drill from manhole to manhole along Mission Street for manholes 3, 5A, 1206, 1205, 1204, 1203, 1202, 1201, and 1200 for the 2-4” High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) duct bank for feeder circuit D-17, and pull new cables.

B. Terminate, splice, and retag existing feeder circuit cables for feeder circuits D-14, D-16, and CC-16 in manholes 3, 5A, 1206, 1205, 1204, 1203, 1202, 1201, and 1200 along Mission Street.

C. Pull and splice new cables in manhole 1641 on Market and 4th and manhole 1640 on Market and 3rd.

D. Provide infrastructure (pull box on the sidewalk and 2-4” & 2-2” HDPE duct bank from manhole 1203) for a future tie-in between feeder circuits D-16 and CC-16 at Mission and 3rd Street.

E. Reconstruct six (6) curb ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirement.

F. Perform commissioning and acceptance tests.

Mitchell Engineering will be bidding as a Prime and requests Subcontractors/Vendors and Trucking proposals in the format of the Bid Form for the following trades: Trenching; Hazardous Material Hauling; Trucking; Core Drilling; Manholes; Concrete; Rebar; Electrical; Duct Bank; Valves; Piping Materials; Landscaping; and Paving for the Project advertised as: TRANSBAY TRANSIT CENTER TRACTION POWER IMPROVEMENT (REBID) in San Francisco, CA (Contract #1317R). Bids are due to Owner on November 22, 2022, at 2:00 PM.
