WORK INCLUDES:
• Furnish and install approximately 13,750 horizontal linear feet (LF) of 36-inch polywrapped mortar lined and coated steel (ML&CS) pipe, all connection piping, appurtenances, and fittings.
• Furnish and install approximately 420 horizontal LF of 48-inch steel casing pipe.
• Furnish and install approximately 50 horizontal (LF) of 48-inch polywrapped ML&CS pipe, all connection piping, appurtenances, and fittings.
• Provide required traffic control measures.
• Remove and dispose of abandoned pipelines for installation of new pipelines.
• Provide final restoration of pavement.
• Perform related required work as shown on the Drawings and as specified.

The District will provide a pre-recorded pre-bid project overview presentation to familiarize prospective bidders with the project site, requirements, bid documents, and requirements of the District’s Contract Equity Program including the Local Hire component. The pre-bid project overview presentation will be available to view on the project webpage at:

The District will not conduct a pre-bid jobsite inspection tour. Bidders can conduct a site visit independently. The construction site does not have restricted access and is located in the public right-of-way.

Engineer's Estimate: $30,000,000 - $35,000,000

They also encourage non-small business subcontractors/material suppliers to submit bids for the following project.

Mitchell Engineering will be bidding as a Prime and requests Subcontractors/Vendors and Trucking proposals in the format of the Bid Form for the following trades: Saw-cutting; excavation; shoring; fill; bolting; welding; pipeline; fittings; boring; plumbing; electrical; trucking; landscaping; paving; and other required work and trades for the Project advertised as: WILDCAT PIPELINE IMPROVEMENTS - EL CERRITO (Contra Costa County) Specification Number 2157. Bids are due to Owner on March 29, 2023, at 1:30 PM.
