The Work to be performed under this Contract includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental work for: the construction of 16-inch, 12-inch, 10-inch, 8-inch, and 6-inch waterlines and associated appurtenances including fire hydrants, valves, etc. The Project also consists of installation of meter replacements, residential metered services, and commercial metered services with backflow assemblies. Included in the work will be reconnection of customer services from the new mains and abandonment of the existing services and appurtenances.

Participation goals for minority participation for each trade is 16%, goals for female participation in each trade is 6.9%.

Mitchell Engineering encourages subcontractors quotes to utilize other DBE firms through second tier subcontracting, owner-operated equipment, or purchase of materials. In addition, all Material/Equipment Suppliers DBE are requested to forward bids. Mitchell Engineering also encourages non-DBE subcontractors/sub-tiers/material suppliers to submit bids for the following project.

Mitchell Engineering will be bidding as a Prime and requests Subcontractors/Vendors and Trucking proposals in the format of the Bid Form for the following trades: Traffic Control; Trucking inc. disposal hazardous waste; Message Signs; Concrete; SWPPP Compliance; Paving & Stripping; Concrete; Rebar; Landscaping; Residential & Commercial Meters; Butterfly, Gate Valves, Check Valves; Backflow Preventers; and Piping Materials including 6", 8", 10",12", 16" Push-on Joint DIP for the Project advertised as: PHASE 1B ARDEN SERVICE AREA PIPE AND METER INSTALLATION in Sacramento, CA (Contract #4593). Bids are due to Owner on May 11, 2023, at 2:00 PM.
