Description

The Work Construction of approximately 13.6 miles of a mixture of welded steel and HDPE pipelines in primarily rural Southern Sacramento County roads. Pipe diameters ranging from 48-inch to 14-inch. Also includes ten trenchless crossings using auger boring or pipe ramming techniques, numerous air valves, blowoffs and turnout connections. There are also several isolation valves.

MITCHELL ENGINEERING, a San Francisco Contractor and Equal Opportunity Employer, request Bids from ALL QUALIFIED AND/OR CERTIFIED DBE are requested to meet subcontracting requirement as defined in the specifications as the following: Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) are defined as: Entities owned and/or controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals as described by Title X of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 7601 note) (10% statute), and Public Law 102-389 (42 U.S.C. 4370d) (8% statute), respectively; A Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) are entities that are at least 51% owned and/or controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individual as described by Title X of the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990 (42 US.C. 7601 note), and Public Law 102-389 (42 US.C. 4370d), respectively. Women Business Enterprises (WBE) are entities that are at least 51% owned and/or controlled by women. Certifications will be accepted from the following: The US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA); The Small Business Administration (SBA); The Department of Transportation's State implemented DBE Certification Program; Tribal (with U.S. citizenship), State and Local governments; and Independent private organization certifications for the following project.

Mitchell Engineering will be bidding as a Prime and requests Subcontractors/Vendors and Trucking proposals in the format of the Bid Form for the following trades: Traffic Control, Traffic Routing, Flagging; Sheeting, Shoring and Bracing Materials; SWPPP (Implementation & Maintenance Preparation & Implementation of a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan); Exclusion Fencing for giant garter snake, CA tiger salamander, spadefoot toad, and turtles; Pipeline materials 48-inch, 42-inch, 36-inch, 26-inch Pipeline, 20-inch, 14-inch WSP & HDPE: Tunnel casing and carrier pipe including pipe, fittings, casing spacers, end seals; Welding; Trucking including spoils hauling; Electrical which includes repair and/or replacement of utilities & improvements damaged; Air Valve assemblies from the pipeline outlet 1 inch, 2 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch; Blow off Assembly 12, 10, 8, 6 inch size for the Project advertised as: HARVEST WATER WEST PIPELINES, Sacramento County (Contract No. 6025). Bids are due to Owner on September 19, 2023, at 1:00 PM.
