The objective of the Project is to replace aging water facilities which have a history of reoccurring main breaks in order to improve reliability of distribution system and replace sewer pipes that have reached the end of their useful life. The Work to be performed under this contract includes the replacement of existing water mains with 8-inch and 12-inch ductile iron pipe and replacement of existing sewer mains with 12-inch vitrified clay pipe, installation of new curb ramps and pavement renovation. The Work is to be performed in San Francisco, California.

Micro and Small-LBE subcontracting participation breakdown is: 3.80% MBE; 5.70% WBE; 5.50% OBE.

Mitchell Engineering encourage subcontractors quotes to utilize other LBE firms through second tier subcontracting, owner-operated equipment, or purchase of materials. In addition, all Material/Equipment Suppliers LBE are requested to forward bids. Mitchell Engineering also encourage non-LBE subcontractors/sub-tiers/material suppliers to submit bids for the following project.

Mitchell Engineering will be bidding as a Prime and request Subcontractors/Material Suppliers, and Trucking proposals in the format of the Bid Form for the following trades: Traffic Control; Manholes with Covers; Paving; 12 & 15 inch VCP Sewer Pipe; Pull Boxes; Cast Iron Water Trap For Existing Catch Basin; Television Inspection; Trucking - Hazardous Waste; 4, 6 and 8 Inch Ductile Iron Joint Pipe with Polyethylene Encasement; and 12-Inch Ductile Iron Restrained Push-On Joint and Flange Joint Pipe, Ductile Iron Gate Valve for the Project advertised as: 8-INCH AND 12-INCH DUCTILE IRON WATER MAIN AND SEWER REPLACEMENT ON GRAND VIEW AVENUE FROM CLIPPER STREET TO ROMAIN STREET, AND VARIOUS AREA STREETS (Contract #WD-2875). Bids are due to Owner on October 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
